What will I be doing?
- Displaying posters and information from USPG in your parish.
- Distributing our free supporter magazine and Prayer Diary.
- Keeping your clergy, PCC and mission committee aware of upcoming USPG resources, such as our Lent courses.
- Inviting a USPG speaker to visit your parish.
- Distributing USPG collection envelopes and boxes.
- Organising a fundraising event for USPG.
- Helping out with other local USPG events and activities.
- Sending articles from USPG to your parish magazine or newsletter editor.
You will not be expected to do everything, but this gives you some idea of what types of activity you could do in this role. Resources for all these activities can be provided.
What skills and qualities do I need?
- All you need is enthusiasm for USPG and our work – a passion for mission, for the world church and for sharing the gospel’s transformative message of hope – and a willingness to share that passion!
What commitment is required?
- This role is flexible; the days and times of the week for volunteer activity vary, and can fit in around your other commitments.
- Attend an induction and training day, either in our office in London, at our annual conference or somewhere local to where you live.
