USPG has been working in partnership with the Igreja Episcopal Anglicana do Brasil since 1988. When Duncan Dormor was licensed as General Secretary of USPG in 2019, the Primate of Brazil, Archbishop Naudal Gomes gave a reading at Duncan’s licensing service at Lambeth Palace.

Since 2015, USPG has provided a contribution towards a stipend for Rev’d Antonio Terto, who works as a priest in Cidade de Deus (City of God): the neighbourhood of Rio de Janeiro that became internationally famous following the 2003 film named after it. Fr Antonio is Tertiary of the Society of St Francis in Brazil.
