For Such A Time As This
USPG's 2021 Conference, For Such A Time As This, is well under way!
So far, we have heard uplifting worship music from Zimbabwe and the Middle East, and listened to insightful Bible studies from the Rev'd Angela Bosfield Palacious and Canon Delene Mark.
The keynote speech on Monday evening was given by the Rev'd Duncan Dormor, General Secretary of USPG, who spoke about the importance of solidarity across the Anglican Communion during the Covid-19 pandemic. We have also listened to the testimonies of the Rt Rev'd Fanuel Mangangani, Bishop of Northern Malawi, and the Rt Rev'd Jacques Boston, Bishop of Guinea.
Conference sessions have covered topics such as solidarity and global mission, prayer and provision, and racial justice.
Tomorrow we will hear from the Rt Rev'd Graham Usher, Bishop of Norwich, the Rt Rev'd Carlos Simão Matsinhe, Bishop of Lebombo, and the Rt Rev'd Marinez Rosa dos Santos Bassotto, Bishop of the Amazon.
