USPG is responding to the recent surge in Covid-19 cases in India through a new India Covid Response appeal.
Over 300,000 new Covid-19 cases are being reported in India each day. Hospitals in the northern states of Delhi, Utter Pradesh and Rajasthan are overwhelmed by the numbers of Covid-19 patients being admitted into hospital.
By launching this appeal, USPG is providing financial support to the Church of North India and the Church of South India. This will enable hospitals such as the Sarenga Mission Hospital, run by the Diocese of Durgapur in the Church of North India, to purchase personal protective equipment, oxygen supplies and anti-viral medicine.
