USPG General Secretary Rev’d Duncan Dormor thanks supporters for their kindness and solidarity and holds the global Anglican Communion in USPG prayers.
This year we would like you to encourage your church to choose USPG as your Harvest Appeal for 2019 by supporting Green Schools in South India. India suffers from high levels of air pollution in urban areas and many other environmental problems. The Green Schools Programme is a way for students to address these issues while also benefitting educationally. The Church of South India provides educational services, through Kindergarten to 12th class, across five states of India. These schools use innovative teaching methods and aim to sensitise the students towards the enviromental needs of the society, in order to make them responsible citizens of society and the nation in whole.
